Ever had trouble enticing the children to eat broccoli? Try this easy and smooth bechamel to enhance the broccoli for a dinner winner every time. BioChef Mycook.

Serves: 4-6

  • 750 g Broccoli
  • ½ L Water
  • 80 g Butter
  • 80 g Flour
  • 1 L Milk
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg
  • Ground White Pepper


Pour water into the jug and place the chopped broccoli in the steam tray. Make sure to use the stems of the broccoli.
20-25 min  |  120°  |  Programme 1

If the broccoli is not cooked to your liking, programme another 5 minutes at the same speed and temperature. Put broccoli to one side and throw away the water.

Add butter
1 min  |  80°  |  Programme 1

Add flour
1 ½ min  |  80°  |  Programme 3

Pour in milk with salt, nutmeg and pepper
7 min  |  100°  |  Programme 3

Cover the broccoli with bechamel and serve. If you want an added dimension of deliciousness, sprinkle grated cheese on top and melt under the grill.
