A proteirn, fibre and calcium packed green smoothie will get you going for the day. Much of the goodness, particulary in the stems, seeds and skins of fruits, are made bioavailable with the use of a super blender from the BioChef range.

Ingredients

Use all or some of the ingredients below

  • ½ Avocado
  • Large handful of Kale, Silverbeet or Spinach
  • Handful of Green Grapes
  • 1 Kiwi Fruit
  • ½ Lime
  • ½ Cup Almonds (soaked)
  • 2 Cups Filtered Water OR
  • 2 Cups of Coconut Water
  • ½ Green Apple

Method

Dark leafy greens contain important minerals, vitamins, phytonutrients, amino acids and antioxidants. The addition of half of an avocado will make you feel satisfied through the morning. This recipe is also packed with fibre and calcium.

Pop the avocado out of its skin and simply combine all ingredients into the jug base. Blender on high for about 30 seconds or until the desired consistency.

If you have any left over, take it with you for the day to top up your energy levels.
